Another entertaining
Eastern Eye DVD has blasted its way onto DVD with No Mercy for the
Rude finally available for the Australian audience. This movie
centres around a Korean hitman played by the talented Shin Ha-Gyun,
a shoot first, ask questions later kind of guy.
Our hero Killa has
two problems, every time he talks, he ends up making a goose of
himself and his other problem, he needs money for an operation that
will allow him to talk like other "normal" people. So Killa becomes
a gun for hire but creates his own edict for killing by targeting
only those are a threat to society.
Killa is joined by a
former martial art expert whose Dojo has collapsed because of
financial ruin and a former ballet dancer who wishes to raise funds
to turn a warehouse into a dance studio. The movie is your classic
action-comedy that features heavily on both well choreographed
action scenes and some extremely amusing scenes, especially suited
to those with a bull fighter fetish.
In conclusion, no
Mercy for the Rude will most likely become a Korean and
international cult hit with its "black" humour, violence, sex and
classic story that is definitely an entertaining film from our
friends at Eastern Eye. Eat your heart out Quentin Tarantino!
