Little Britain USA
(2 Disc Set)
The delightful and talented comedians Matt Lucas and
David Walliams return
in another hilarious season of Little Britain, however this time they
have turned their sights to America.
Reprising a variety of roles from
their original BBC TV series such Andy and Lou, a handicapped man and
his carer (hint: Andy is not really handicapped) or Bubbles (Champaign
for everyone), it's great to see these characters again, although in
slightly unfamiliar settings... that being the United States of America.
There are even some thunderously entertaining guest stars such as Rosie
O'Donnell who attends "Fat Busters" as a guest speaker and is
targeted
for her sexual orientation and her slightly being overweight by the
host.
My favourite new characters are easily the two American muscle
heads as Lucas and Walliams wear "muscle" suits and needless to say,
they both get their gear off in the showers and let's just say that all
the rumours about steroids are true.
Although the humour of Little
Britain can be a times quite politically incorrect and a little in the
gutter, this is the charm of the series and if you're offended by
either, you would (1) probably not be reading this review or (2) wanted
to see if this has changed for the US version, so I can safely inform
you that it hasn't and because it was broadcast on HBO, this is truly a
no holed barred Little Britain experience, thank the heavens.
The
delightful Tom Baker returns in Little Britain USA to give us his over
the top commentary and his best line in the series is that Britain was
Thankful for the Americans to join in the great war during the last few
minutes, Champaign comedy at its peak.
So grab your slippers, a warm cup
of tea and sit back and relax for Little Britain has returned from Vicky
Pollard to the gay British Prime Minister and the Obama clone, it's foul,
it's fun and it's fantastically funny!
