Heroes season 2 picks up directly where season 1 ended; this however
should not deter any new viewers from this highly addictive series.
Heroes is essentially a collection of inter-woven stories about a
group of seemingly unrelated people with comic book super powers
(flight, healing, super-strength etc), who after saving the world is
the previous season are attempting to return to their normal lives.
It would be convoluted and spoiler riddled to expand beyond that.
As
you would expect a show about superheroes, it has slick special effects,
however these do not detract from the strong narratives, rather they
add to the series’ lush dynamics. [The video and audio
quality of the series is brilliant for a direct to television series
with sharp images, vibrant colours and some exceptional audio, Dolby
5.1 Digital]
The special features disc is a real treat, full of content such as
documentaries on key characters, behind the scenes featurettes and
interviews. The disc provides plenty if engaging content to sink
your teeth into well after the completion of the series.
Heroes is a truly captivating series, and this DVD set will allow
you to watch each cliff hanging episode without the week long wait.
This is an absorbing and original series, well worth the effort.
[Editor: After the first season,
Sylar was one of the most unique villains on TV, however Season
introduces Adam, although not as diabolical as Sylar, still provides
the second season with enough intrigue. The relation between Hiro
and Adam is great as he travels to the present from the past]
