Walt Disney Pictures and James Cameron, the Academy Award®-winning
director of TITANIC (1997), present the groundbreaking cinematic
achievement GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS. Joined by his personal friend Bill
Paxton (TITANIC) and a team of the world's foremost history and
marine experts, Cameron journeys back to the site of his greatest
inspiration -- the legendary wreck of the Titanic.
During the voyage, you will explore the entire ship, deck by deck,
room by room, encountering mysteries that have remained hidden for
almost a century. Revolutionary underwater robots were designed and
built solely for the purpose of allowing the explorers to peer deep
into the remains of the once great ship and bring those surreal and
haunting images back to the surface. This unprecedented motion
picture event is a must-own companion for anyone who loves TITANIC.
Although I'm one of those rare people
who have never watched and have vowed never to watch the John
Cameron's Titanic but as to the reasons why? That my friends is
another story. However, I did amuse myself and watch this
entertaining documentary that features one of the most in-depth
looks at the mystery behind the Titanic itself.
Apart from being a visual treat, Ghosts
of the Abyss is not only entertaining but also a great trip through
history through these amazing robots that take the viewer into this
underwater mystery. Presented in 16:9 with Dolby Digital 5.1, this
is one documentary that even the documentary haters will enjoy,
highly recommended!
