Exploring China A Culinary Adventure
Join Ken Hom and Ching-He Huang in a
culinary adventure as they cook their way across China, showcasing both
modern and classic Asian cooking. Comprising of all four episodes which
was originally screened on SBS, Ken and Ching are professional chefs
from two totally diverse backgrounds which creates this fun and
interesting dynamic. Ken has been dubbed as the godfather of Chinese
cuisine, whereas Ching is more like Australia's Margaret Fulton due to
the popularity of her cooking shows and five best selling cook books.
Similar to other travelling cooking
series, Exploring China - A Culinary Adventure focuses on a
different part of China in each episode from markets to restaurants and
the home. The series also divulges into the history of these areas such
as the Kashgar which is steeped in ancient culture. The only issue with
this series is that after watching each episode, you actually find
yourself craving Chinese food as the food that they cook looks
delicious.
The highlight of Exploring China -
A Culinary Adventure was seeing Ken and Ching interacting with the
locals as they cook in their kitchens, using authentic and traditional
ingredients. Exploring China - A Culinary Adventure is not just a
cooking series but successfully merges travel with cooking to create a
unique and colourful insight into one of the world's most interesting
countries.
