Once again the
talented David Tennant returns as the good doctor who is joined by his
lovely adventurous companion. The first tale on this DVD is adapted from the
novel by Paul Cornell "Human Nature" which is a tale about Timelord
energy and the relentless pursuit of it across time and space by The
Family of Blood, a ruthless alien clan, devoid of compassion, ready
to spread like cancer throughout the galaxy. Freema Agyeman
continues to demonstrate what an asset to Doctor Who she is with her
brilliant acting abilities that probably make her one of the best
companions for the doctor in quite some time.
The episode entitled
Blink is a little light hearted with statutes that attack in the
blink of an eye. Stare at them and you're safe, but the moment you
take your eyes off them... best not to ponder on the dangers!
Needless to say, Blink is one of those classic Doctor Who episodes
with camp and cliché. Unfortunately as with most of the new
Doctor Who, the set is devoid of any extras which is a shame.
Nevertheless, a must have for the Doctor Who fan!
