Creature Comforts Season 2 Part 1
Creature Comforts is a joy to watch and is great that
there is a second series. Using Claymation, the production team take
unscripted interviews with the British public and then get the clay
animals to speak with hilarious results.
There is the return of many of the popular creatures
from the first series, however if you cannot lay your hands on the first
disc, don’t worry as you don’t need it to enjoy series 2. The spoken
pieces can pretty much stand on their own merits without referring back
to what has gone before.
The quality of the video is good as is the audio. The
show is shown full screen and runs for 70 minutes, of which you will be
laughing for most of it. There are a number of extras on the disc as
well that really flesh out the process of how it is all done and the
thought process behind the series.
I have no problems recommending this disc. It’s a
novel idea and the animations are very reminiscent of the Wallace and
Gromet series, which of course would make sense considering the makers
were behind this show!
Here is an overview of the disc description:
From the
makers of 'Wallace & Gromit “The Curse of the Were-rabbit” Creature
Comforts Series 2 is wilder than ever before.
Unscripted and unashamedly funny, the British public once again speak
through the mouths of their plasticine counterparts. Series 2 Part One
sees the return of some favourite characters including Trixie and
Captain Cuddlepuss, the dog and the cat, Fluffy the hamster and Clement
the bloodhound, plus many new characters to laugh along with.
