This is the ultimate modern Greek
Tragedy by master Hollywood scribe, Woody Allen who creates a unique
and almost surreal story into the lives of two brothers in this 21st
century crime drama with elements of noir and black comedy.
Revolving around two working class brothers, the gambling addicted
Terry (Colin Farrell) and the ambitious and womanizing Ian (Ewan
McGregor), they are about to journey down the dark path of man. Upon
the purchase of a joint sailing boat dubbed "Cassandra's Dream",
these two men believe their life is on the verge of perfection until
			one fateful day.

When Terry becomes embroiled in debts,
he seeks assistance from his brother and when they approach their
millionaire uncle, Howard (Tom Wilkinson), he gives them an
ultimatum which they reluctantly agree to take. This murderous
proposition involves the murder of their uncle's acquaintance,
Michael Byrne who plans to become a turncoat for Howard's businesses
and the only solution for Howard is his death.

			Initially their consciences control
their actions, until one fateful night they finally murder Michael Byrne.
Ian manages to control his guilt, however Terry falls into a
spiraling world of depression and guilt as the two finally reach a
climatic ending that truly makes this an unique and extraordinary movie from start
			to finish.

Woody Allen questions the viewer with this deadly choice
and through his quirky story telling methods, creates a masterpiece with some
brilliant acting by Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The only
downside to this DVD is the lack of special features, even so, it's
			definitely an entertaining watch.
