Battlestar Galactica The Plan
Although the TV series may be "over", fans are still clamouring for more
and
thankfully Battlestar Galactica The Plan may just be what the doctor
ordered.
Unlike the TV series, The Plan is told from a different perspective,
that of the
Cylons and sits somewhere between the mini-series and the first two
seasons of the
TV series.
Needless to say, it's great seeing a different perspective on
the story
we all know and love and the biggest surprise of The Plan is the
destruction of the
Twelve Colonies which left me flabbergasted. Definitely a HUGE fanboy or
GIRL moment for those that enjoy Battlestar Galactica.
Even though I enjoyed The Plan, my biggest gripe of the story is that it
feels like a string of vignettes strewn together which may leave some
viewers a little
bemused but thankfully there are some strong performances by all
involved with the
main protagonist being Cavil who is the puppeteer.
Other
characters that
might get you excited include Number Four and Five plus an interesting
insight into
how Leoben developed his addictive obsession with Kara. Of course I have
been
careful not to spoil too much in this movie because reminiscing and seeing
the plots
all unravel again was once again a great journey.
With brilliant video and audio quality, once again the creators keep
their standards
high, just be forewarned that the story does jump around a lot but seeing
some of
the behind the scene architects of the series, especially from a
different
perspective is more than enough to add this to your Battlestar Galactica
collection.
