30 Days of Night is a vampire movie with a twist and for 30 days, the secluded town of Barrow in Alaska is thrown into a state of darkness every winter for 30 days. On the eve of the last day of the sun, acts of vandalism and the mutilations have occurred across the town and when Barrow's Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett) discovers a disturbed stranger within Barrow who had no way of getting to this isolated area, the mystery starts to unravel.

As the power supply of Barrow is cut, the most unthinkable act imaginable happens, those creatures known as the Vampires, only from the bad dreams of humans have started feeding on the town's residence. Joined by Stella, Eben's estranged wife and a group of surviving locals, they are forced to endure 30 days of night in one of the most thrilling and suspenseful vampire movies of the new millennium. 30 Days of Night goes beyond the clichéd vampire movies of yesterday and gives a fresh new perspective on this mythical creature.
