Frisky Dingo Season One

Frisky Dingo is another Adult Swim creation that follows two comic book like characters, a hero called Awesome X and a villain named Killface. Imagine a world of comic book heroes, however with the political correctness removed and adult themes added which is all what Frisky Dingo is all about, except it has a healthy dose of humour.

Awesome X is almost a carbon copy of Batman who happens to have a secret identity millionaire called Xander Crews and hopes to stimulate the villain market in order for him to create more action figures. For Xander, it's all about wine, women and money, whereas Killface is in a perpetual state of depression who just wants to destroy the world.

Although the series does contain some super hero antics, it's all about these two strange characters who can never get it right and continue to plod along life as we all do, with most of their dreams crushed.

Some of the episodes are a hit and miss but the majority of episodes were quite amusing such as Xander Crews spending one episode just walking around in the nude or Killface's henchmen talking about mundane life, Frisky Dingo is a strange yet entertaining snapshot of pop culture.

The video and audio quality of Frisky Dingo is decent, considering that this series was made for Cable TV and match that with some entertaining Adult Swim extras and it sums up this strange series nicely.

Recommended to those who grew up with super heroes and this ain't for kids.
