OPPO has today announced the launch of two new smartphones in its A-series lineup: the OPPO A60 5G and OPPO A40. Retailing at $299 and $259 respectively, both models continue OPPO’s commitment to combining durable, high-quality designs with cutting-edge technology at a pocket friendly price.
Both the OPPO A60 5G and OPPO A40 are built with durability at their core. Featuring reinforced bodies and double tempered glass screens, both models have received MIL-STD 810H Certification for Military-Grade Shock Resistance, ensuring reliable protection from everyday drops and impacts. Additionally, they are IP54 rated for water and dust resistance, safeguarding against spills from hot or cold liquids such as coffee, tea, or soup.
The innovative Splash Touch feature also enhances touch accuracy when the screen is wet, allowing users to operate the phone smoothly in outdoor settings, such as after swimming or when caught in the rain.

Both the OPPO A60 5G and A40 come equipped with a 5,100mAh Hyper Energy Battery, providing up to 14 hours of video playback on a single charge, ensuring extended battery life for daily work and entertainment. The battery is designed for extended longevity, maintaining at least 80% of its original capacity for over 1,600 charge cycles, which equates to four years of standard use.
Helping users get even more out of this battery is OPPO’s 45W SUPERVOOC™️ Flash Charge technology, capable of charging the phone to 45% in just 30 minutes and 100% in 75 minutes. Both phones also include Smart Charging, meaning the battery is also automatically charged according to each user’s specific charging habits, providing a smarter and safer charging experience that prolongs the battery lifespan.

The OPPO A60 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Mobile Platform, designed to deliver a smooth 5G experience, supported by OPPO’s AI LinkBoost technology for better network performance in challenging conditions. It also features a 120Hz Ultra Bright Display, providing a smoother and brighter viewing experience with up to 1,000nits of peak brightness. The OPPO A60 5G comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM and the OPPO A40 is available with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Both models include RAM Expansion technology, with the OPPO A60 5G offering an additional 4GB of RAM and the OPPO A40 offering up to an additional 6GB of RAM expansion.
Meanwhile, the OPPO A40 is equipped with the Snapdragon® 6s 4G Gen1 Mobile Platform, offering optimal performance for gaming and video streaming, supported by RAM Expansion and the Trinity Engine for efficient use of system resources. The phone features a 6.67-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for gaming and media consumption, and also supports OPPO’s Ultra Volume Mode, which can boost audio output by up to 300% in noisy environments.

Both the OPPO A60 5G and OPPO A40 come with a 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera and a 5MP Selfie Camera, enabling users to capture high-quality images and videos. Measuring just 7.68mm in thickness, both models offer a comfortable grip with their streamlined side frames, with the OPPO A40 weighing approximately 186g and the OPPO A60 5G weighing approximately 187g. The A60 5G is available in Nebula Red and Ocean Blue, while the A40 offers Starlight White and Sparkle Black each crafted with the OPPO Glow process to deliver a shimmer effect that’s resistant to fingerprints.
