DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS HD TRAILER REVEALS A BARRELFUL OF NEW DETAILS
Bananas, barrels and Kongs: A jaunt across Donkey Kong Island awaits with the latest trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The trailer, A barrelful of details on Donkey Kong Country Returns HD! (Nintendo Switch), reveals what’s in store.
Players can stomp enemies, blast out of barrels, ride mine carts, and more when Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launches for Nintendo Switch on 16th January 2025. This visually-enhanced version of Donkey Kong’s platforming adventure combines selected features from both the Wii and Nintendo 3DS releases, including the extra levels from the Nintendo 3DS version.
With 80 levels across 9 different worlds, each featuring a dastardly boss battle at the end, the Kongs will have to be at their best to bring back their bananas. Gathering every secret, collectible and Time Attack medal will require some serious platforming panache.
Additionally, players can pass a controller to a friend or family member to have them lend a hand as Diddy Kong in local co-op. Diddy can use his jet pack to help land tough jumps and fend off enemies with his trusty peanut popgun. Playing in Modern mode helps players out with additional hearts and items, whereas Original mode offers a tougher challenge.
