Disney, ‘Arrowverse’, ‘Baywatch’ Supa-Stars & More Descend On Melbourne & The Gold Coast

There’s no slowing down for Supanova Comic Con & Gaming! Even more stars of the big and small screen are set to ‘descend’ onMelbourne (29-30 March) and the Gold Coast (12-13 April), with homegrown hero Mitchell Hope leading the convention’s latest wave of celebrity guest announcements.

Best known for his starring role as Ben in Disney’s Descendants film series, Hope took centre stage with Supa-Fan favourite John Jarratt in Love You Like That and recently featured in Netflix’s Christmas rom-com Let It Snow.

From Auradon to Central City, Supa-Fans will be speeding onto the Gold Coast to catch Rick Cosnett a.k.a. detective-turned-villain Eddie Thawne on the hit series, The Flash. Prior to his stint in the Arrowverse, The CW star featured as the obsessive scientist, Dr. Wesley Maxfield, in the fifth season of The Vampire Diaries.
 
Hope and Cosnett will make their Supa-Star debuts alongside Aussie actor Jaason Simmons, who made waves as Logan Fowler in the long-running American drama Baywatch, before later making a splash as Baz Hogan in Syfy’s Sharknado.
 
The convention newcomers will be shown the ropes by Supanova staples and The Possessed co-stars John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) and Lincoln Lewis (Home and Away) in both cities, with Garrison7 mastermind Scott Brewer attending only on the Gold Coast.
 
The voice behind Scooby-Doo himself, Neil Fanning, will be ‘unleashed’ on not one, not two, but three Supanova tours in 2025, scheduled to appear in Melbourne, before returning to the event in June for Sydney and Perth, and concluding the year in Brisbane!
 
Meanwhile, the comics cavalry is en route to Melbourne and Gold Coast, led by award-winning writer Tom Taylor, fresh off his acclaimed four-year run on DC’s Nightwing. The Eisner recipient will attend alongside acclaimed artists Mark Raats (Star Wars), David Yardin (Daredevil: Woman Without Fear), Dean Rankine (Death Metal Emo Elves), Alex Trpcevski (The Phantom), Anthony Christou (Luminous Ages), Austen Mengler (Execution), as well as cover artist Mike KromeIndigiverse powerhouse Scott Wilson, and Comics on Country Chief Executive Wolfgang Bylsma.
 
International artists Phil Noto (Star Wars Comics), Lipwei Chang (X-Venture Unexplained Files), and Redcode (Transformers) will return exclusively to Melbourne, with renowned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artist Jamie JohnsonDark Heart artist Katie Houghton-Ward, and Dark Oz’s Darren Koziol in tow. Finally, Gold Coast Supa-Fans can look forward to meeting interdisciplinary maker Morrigan Moore, as well as Killer Comics’ Duncan Cunningham!
 
Tickets to Melbourne and the Gold Coast are on sale now, along with strictly limited tickets to both cities’ after-hours Supanova @ Sunset VIP Event. Autographs and Photo-Ops will be released closer to the March and April events, with additional guests still to be announced.
