CyberPower sees major demand for UPS in the Australian consumer, retail and commercial markets
Having experienced significant success in other areas of the globe including the United States and Europe, CyberPower saw a gap in the Australian market for their Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) product range. Recently the company has seen major demand for its BRIC and Value Pro Series UPS models in Australia’s consumer and retail sector with the commercial sector seeing demand for the Professional Tower and Rackmount Series.
CyberPower Systems Oceania GM ANZ Robert Hartvigsen said, “The Australian market has responded particularly well to CyberPower as we offer extremely high-quality products at an exceptionally competitive price point. Not only do CyberPower sell a range of UPS products, we also offer Power Distribution Units (PDU), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), racks, software and surge products – all of which are in great demand.”
The UPS demand Hartvigsen mentions comes from the consumer, retail and commercial sectors where their BRIC, Value Pro and PFC Series are in high demand in consumer and retail and the Professional and Online S Series excel in commercial markets.
The BRIC Series is a desktop GreenPower UPS with a multifunction LCD readout, providing immediate access to power information. The Value Pro Series is a GreenPower tower UPS with LCD displays providing reliable battery backup and data line protection with high-speed transmission for home and office. The Professional Series is a tower and rackmount UPS with Automatic Voltage Regulation to stabilise the AC power output for IT equipment.
Hartvigsen added, “The reason for the demand is that these CyberPower Products meet the needs of Australian consumers and businesses as they are competitively priced, user friendly and packed with features. They are also backed by a world class advanced replacement 2- or 3-year warranty, with the option in some cases to upgrade to a 5-year one.
CyberPower is a Global Tier 1 UPS and power protection brand with self-owned manufacturing facilities founded in 1997 in Taipei, Taiwan. With dedicated R&D personnel and unparalleled engineering excellence, CyberPower is pushing ahead with its plans to launch more of its leading
power protection, UPS, power distribution units, surge protectors and power management software products in Australia throughout 2025 and beyond.
Robert Hartvigsen concluded, “We are launching a new PFC Sinewave Rackmount Series in Australia soon. These will follow the success of the PFC Sinewave 1U Rackmount UPS systems which were recognised by CRN as a finalist in the 2024 Product of the Year Awards in the power protection and management category. We also plan to launch more user friendly CyberPower products that include our Connected Equipment Guarantee (up to $100,000 on the Professional Series) and more advanced features at a competitive price point that will continue meeting the needs of the Australian market throughout 2025.”
GreenPower UPS Technology
GreenPower UPS™ Technology from CyberPower consists of three different energy-saving designs that improve operating efficiency, reduce heat generation and consume less power than conventional UPS models.
ECO Mode: ECO Mode is a form of bypass technology that can be switched on full time, set for noncritical times (such as nights and weekends), or switched off. This flexibility can help conserve power and save money.
Bypass Design: This patented bypass design allows current to bypass the transformer and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) when utility power is normal, thus reducing energy consumption and associated costs. Because utility power functions normally most of the time, the bypass design allows for substantial energy savings. This technology also reduces heat generation, an important factor in decreasing operating costs.
High-Efficiency Design: Significantly decreases power consumption to create an ultra-efficient backup battery for home and office use.
