Cosplay Anastasya Zelenova Interview … Anastasya Wins!

The amazing Anastasya Zelenova chats with Impulse Gamer about her love of cosplay, pop culture as we showcase just how impressive her costumes are and what’s going on with the Russian cosplay scene?

Welcome to Anastasya, so tell us what drew you to cosplay?

Cosplay has always attracted me because you could feel yourself like your favorite character and create many fantastic costumes. And of course, a lot of meetings with great and interesting people.

What was it like playing Han Solo (or is that Hanna Solo)?

My favorite characters from Star Wars are Han Solo and Chewbacca, they are perfect for me. I can easily imagine a badass woman-smuggler with a good sense of humor, ready to adventures and dangers.

Tell us what you love about Star Wars?

Star Wars is a saga in which everyone can find for themselves what appeals to them like the Star Wars battles, love, adventure, philosophy or the characters.

You looked like you were having fun on your Harley Quinn photoshoot, was that an easy shoot?

I am really worried about the Harley Quinn photoshoot. I mostly do characters with dark hair and although she is blonde, she is very popular so I tried to bring something interesting and unique to the process which I really enjoyed.

If you had unlimited time and money, which character would you create?

I try to make all characters I want, but maybe in the future and if I had time and money, I would really like to do some really <<BIG ARMOURED>> character.

Your Mortal Kombat action shoot looks amazing, what was it like playing Kitana?

I really like Kitana from Mortal Kombat 9. Her costume is amazing but I really like fighting style of Sonya Blade, but I learned to deal with fans. lol

Can you tell us what the cosplay scene is like in Russia?

Cosplay in Russia is developing very quickly, I think we really have a worthy level. Games, comic books and movies costumes are so popular over here.

Do you have any plans to visit the US or Australia to cosplay?

I dream about it. I hope one day I can come to USA or Australia at any cosplay event. Of course, all cosplayers are dreaming about your Comic-cons. It is really great event!

What’s the coolest thing you can do?

Coolest thing? Oh, that is difficult question but I can do some acrobatic tricks and when I cosplayed Lara Croft, it was very handy!

Lastly, who else would you love to cosplay?

It would be Sadira from Killer Instinct. I know she isn’t so popular character, but I like her so much.
