Cosentino is a stage magician and illusionist who first came to the public’s attention in 2011 with Australia’s Got Talent. Since then, Cosentino has hosted some amazing performances and TV specials highlighting his amazing and unique set of “magical” skills. For fans of either magic or Cosentino himself, this DVD released entitled Cosentino: The Magic, The Mystery, The Madness collects his three TV specials into one accessible release.
What makes this DVD so special is that Cosentino brings the viewer behind the veiled curtains of magic, his personal life and of course magic and just like Houdini, he manages to escape a variety of death traps. However no matter how much preparation and practice, sometimes accidents occur and even deadly accidents happen.
In the second special, Cosentino is faced with his most dangerous stunt ever called Point Blake which features crossbow bolts, bear traps, spikes and other diabolical dangers as he spins around locked to a wheel. It just leaves you gobsmacked on how he escaped! The final episode is a little more mild which is good news for people with heart conditions as the viewer is taken back stage once again and also into the private life of Cosentino, a truly remarkable and inspiring Australian.
All in all, Cosentino: The Magic, The Mystery, The Madness is quite a revealing collection that once again pushes what is possible and what is not.
