The Illuminaughty
comes together once again, and what's on everyone's mind is whether
the real threat is the chain reaction causing entropy to the
multiverse, or that the gathering of heroes has decided to do
something about it. Namor's arrogance in admitting his part in the
destruction of Wakanda, and Black Panther's refusal to understand he
was under the influence of the Phoenix, make of the private meeting
between these two the highlight of this issue.
Of the seven main characters, the one who seems most unlike himself
is Reed Richards; he tends to be more like Cap, less willing to
cross the line or justify the means to an end; however, he is
suddenly ready to pull the stops knowing what's at stake. Steve
Epting's artwork is usually more detailed than shown in this book;
it's hard to tell whether the inks or the digital manipulation
robbed its charm. On a separate note, this title should be "Dark
Avengers," not "New."
