COMEDIC SENSATIONS AMY SCHUMER AND BILL HADER TO HEAD TO AUSTRALIA – Universal Media Release

Universal Pictures is thrilled to announce the hottest name in comedy, Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) is bringing her honest and provocative brand of humour Down Under to introduce her first feature film to Australian audiences.

Early screenings have taken place around the world, including the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, with fans and critics alike raving about Trainwreck where Amy delivers an unforgettable performance as a bold and unapologetic woman navigating the dating world in the 21st century.

The stand-up comedian, writer, actress and queen of the viral video will be joined by her Trainwreck co-star and fellow comedian Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live).

Amy and Bill will visit Sydney July 20-21 and Melbourne July 21-22 and fans will have the opportunity to see the duo at the Australian Premiere on Monday 20th July in Sydney.

About the film:

Since she was a little girl, it’s been drilled into Amy’s (Schumer) head by her rascal of a dad (Colin Quinn) that monogamy isn’t realistic.  Now a magazine writer, Amy lives by that credo—enjoying what she feels is an uninhibited life free from stifling, boring romantic commitment—but in actuality, she’s kind of in a rut.  When she finds herself starting to fall for the subject of the new article she’s writing, a charming and successful sports doctor named Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), Amy starts to wonder if other grown-ups, including this guy who really seems to like her, might be on to something

TRAINWRECK is produced and directed by Judd Apatow. In cinemas August 6, 2015
