COLDPLAY BREAKS RECORD BY ADDING NEW STADIUM SHOWS IN MELBOURNE, SYDNEY AND AUCKLAND

Following the unprecedented demand for tickets to Coldplay’s record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour during the pre-sale period, the band has announced additional stadium concerts as part of their upcoming Australia and New Zealand 2024 tour.

Coldplay will now perform four shows at Accor Stadium, Sydney and Marvel Stadium, Melbourne and three shows at Eden Park in Auckland, breaking the all-time record as the first artist to play three nights in the venue’s one hundred and twenty-three year history.

The newly announced dates are;

Melbourne – Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3
Sydney – Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10
Auckland – Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16

The general sale for all shows commences on Friday, 1st December at 10am local time.

Since the first Music Of The Spheres World Tour date in March 2022, the band have sold over 9 million tickets – the most for any tour in history. The tour has also received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, picking up accolades including Favorite Touring Artist at the 2022 AMAs and Tour of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.

The band recently issued an update on the tour’s sustainability initiatives, revealing that, on a show-by-show comparison, their current tour has so far produced 47% less CO2e emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17, and that more than 7 million trees have already been planted around the world (with one being planted for each concert goer).

This month, Coldplay were named in TIME Magazine’s inaugural TIME100 Climate, a new list of the world’s most influential leaders driving real climate action.
