Astro Gaming Announces the Astro Gaming Warzone Invitational
Today, Astro Gaming with the support of Mindfreak, is proud to announce the launch of the Astro Gaming Warzone Invitational. Starting with a launch event on Friday, April 10th at 7PM AEDT, a combination of ANZ’s most popular content creators and Call of Duty pros will be teaming up and going head-to-head against some of Australia’s biggest sporting stars.
Damian Lepore, Logitech ANZ Managing Director said, “Astro will partner with their sponsored esports team Mindfreak who are synonymous in leading the way for Call of Duty in the region, to take lead and run the event.”
Mindfreak CEO Albert Nassif expressed, “Today is the beginning of a new chapter as we aim to bridge the gap between professional players, content creators, and athletes. We are excited to create a bigger platform for the region’s elite to showcase their talent, and for the sporting stars to engage with their fans in a different space.”
“With the release of Warzone, it’s the most opportune moment to bring the community together and provide some entertainment whilst staying safe indoors.”
A number of professional athletes are already on board for the competition such as NRL player Alex Glenn and soccer star Mitchell Austin, with more names to be announced in the lead up to the first grassroots tournament.
