AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Sets Overclocking Records with Conventional Cooling
Ahead of the launch of the Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processors, AMD today revealed a preview of Ryzen 9 7950X overclocking performance, pushing the processor to new heights to break several overclocking records.
Using standard liquid cooling, the Ryzen flagship achieved chart topping scores in multi-thread tests, including:
- 40,498 in CB R23 nT with a Ryzen 9 7950X @ 5.4GHz all-core using a 280mm AIO, ASROCK X670E Taichi motherboard and 32GB Kingston DDR5 memory.
- 15,771 in CB R20 nT with a Ryzen 9 7950X @ 5.35GHz all-core using a 280mm AIO, GIGABYTE X670E AORUS Master motherboard and 32GB G.SKILL DDR5 memory.
- 6,900 in CB R15 nT with a Ryzen 9 7950X @ 5.5GHz all-core using a 280mm AIO, ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero and 16GB G.SKILL DDR5 memory.
- 228,992 MIPS in 7-Zip with a Ryzen 9 7950X @ 5.45GHz all-core using a 280mm AIO, MSI MEG X670E ACE motherboard and 32GB Corsair DDR5 memory.
