Acer Extends Its Liquid Leap Wearable Lineup with Three New Designs

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (May 28, 2015) Acer today officially announced three new members to its Liquid wearable lineup, including the Leap Active for socially active young-minded consumers, the Leap Fit for health-conscious consumers, and the Leap Curve with a unique curved screen for urban style-seekers. All three products will be on display at Acer’s booth at Computex from June 2nd to 6th at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall 4th Floor, Booth M0810 in Taipei.

All three models can be operated by intuitive touch screen control, and allow consumers to track daily activities and exercise, and get timely notifications when pre-set goals are met, which can encourage users to keep moving. The new version of the Leap Manager also maps out different activity indicators in an easy to read graph[1] indicating the user’s health index.

Liquid Leap Active: Designed for the Young-Minded Socially Active
The ultra-lightweight Leap Active comes with three interchangeable bands[2], allowing users to choose from vibrant colors or camouflage pattern to match their mood or outfit. The Leap Active not only tracks activity during the day, but also the sleep patterns at night. The notifications feature can inform the wearer of incoming calls, text, and social messages, and meetings so they won’t miss important notices. The Leap Active can also double as a remote control for music playback on the smartphone so that the wearer can take control of their music[3] without even touching their phone.

Liquid Leap Fit: Metallic Hairline Finish with Integrated Heart Rate Sensor
The Leap Fit builds on all of the great features of the Leap Active, adding a heart rate sensor that can monitor the wearer’s heart rate around the clock. It also features a stress sensor that sends notifications when the stress level is high to help people measure and manage their well-being. This IPX7 certified unit is strapped to the hand by an interchangeable band with a gold, silver, or black metallic hairline finish, and provides up to five days of battery life on a single charge.

Liquid Leap Curve: Curved Screen with Ergonomic Design for the Style-Conscious
The Leap Curve delivers the complete functionality of the Leap Fit with a curved and distinct design. With different bands of premium material to match different outfits and occasions, the Leap Curve also features a complete array of sensors to let urban-style seekers take full control of their quality of life. The 1.4-inch touch display provides extra room for information to be shown, and is surrounded by a metal frame that allows the unit to rest ergonomically on the wrist while adding a touch of sophistication.
