A Dungeon Crawler inspired by the Legendary Board Game Hero Quest

Indie publisher Brain Seal just announced Dark Quest 4, the latest entry in the beloved Dark Quest series — a bold, standalone return to the dungeon that feels like a living board game.

Inspired by iconic board games such as Hero Quest, Descent, and Dungeon Saga, Dark Quest 4 is a turn-based RPG dungeon crawler that blends strategy, imagination, and unforgettable quests into one immersive experience.

Embark on a journey where every quest is a story waiting to unfold.

The game will launch on PC (Steam)XboxPlaystation and Nintendo Switch this fall.

A Game of Imagination – Brought to Life

In Dark Quest 4, players build a party of three heroes and take on epic, hand-crafted missions in a world that looks and feels like a physical tabletop board game. With its unique animated figurines, charming visuals, and a fully voiced dungeon master (the sorcerer himself), the game brings the magic of old-school dungeon crawling to a whole new generation.

Play solo or bring up to two friends along in an adventure where strategy meets creativity and imagination.

“Dark Quest 4 is the game I dreamed of playing as a kid — one where your imagination leads the way, every quest feels personal, and the table comes alive before your eyes. This is more than just a game; it’s an invitation to adventure, to create, and to relive the magic of the classics we grew up loving.”

 — Argi Baltzi, Game Director of Dark Quest 4
