FIFA 14 iOS Review
Summary: FIFA 14 on iOS is a very fun game! Although it's free, you do need to dish out a one-off purchase to open the full game modes. However it's definitely worth the price, especially with over 600 licensed teams, 33 leagues and real players. If you don't believe me, download the game to check it out and I bet before long, you'll be making that one-off purchase!

Goal!
The latest and greatest iOS soccer game has arrived with EA’s FIFA 14 that boasts 600 licensed teams, 33 leagues and graphics that would not look out of place on a gaming console. Whether you want to play a quick match through exhibition or engage in the entire season, this iOS game has all the bells and whistles, even the ability to trade FIFA players.
Although the game is free, there are some purchases that can be made to fast track your game as the free version is more a of a demo. With that said you do need to unlock the kick off, tournament and manager modes which is a one-off purchase but at least EA give you a taste of how good this game is for free. The manager part of FIFA 14 is quite good which allows you to trade, buy and sell players in order to form the perfect team.
In terms of controls, FIFA 14 has been streamlined on the iOS and engaging with the players and the ball in a game of soccer has never been easier, especially on the iPad. Whether I’m moving a player on the field, tapping to pass or swiping to shoot, everything feels just right on the iOS. Having played the game on both the iPhone and the iPad, I must admit that the game does feel more accurate on the iPad due to the larger screen.
Another interesting feature of the game is that it supports both a single-player mode and even online play which is where the game really comes into its own. When online, you can compete against people from around the world, partake in leaderboards and even multiplayer challenges.
Graphics/Audio
Graphically, the game is a visual treat on the iOS and almost looks like something you would see on the PlayStation or XBox 360. By using Apple TV, it actually looks amazing on our FULL HD TV. The player animation is quite realistic as are their texture details and the way they interact with the environment. Backgrounds are quite realistic, including the sound effects which creates this awesome pocket size soccer game. The commentary in the game is probably the best I’ve heard on an iOS device.
