COLLECT THE STORIES OF PANDORA IN TWO NEW COMPREHENSIVE VOLUMES
Dark Horse, Disney, and Lightstorm Entertainment present two new collections of comics for fans of James Cameron’s Avatar films. These books collect the original canon stories that expand the world of Avatar with both new and returning characters. Readers can now delve into Avatar: The High Ground Omnibus, a prequel to Avatar: The Way of Water, collected in one paperback volume. Also available is a collection of stories across Pandora from the perspectives of key characters within the films and beyond in Avatar: Tales from Pandora Omnibus. Both books will be available in late summer/fall 2025.

Avatar: The High Ground Omnibus:
Award-winning author Sherri L. Smith (The Toymaker’s Apprentice, Orleans) adapts one of James Cameron’s original Avatar screenplays into a trilogy of graphic novels collected here, titled Avatar: The High Ground! Volume 1 features art by Guilherme Balbi (Alien: The Original Screenplay), colors by Michael Atiyeh (Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Dragon Age: Dark Fortress) and Wes Dzioba (Avatar: Tsu’tey’s Path, Mystery Science Theater 3000), letters by Michael Heisler (Tomb Raider, Mass Effect: Foundation), with cover art by Doug Wheatley (Star Wars).
It has been more than a decade since the humans were forced to leave Pandora, but now they’re returning—with an armada of heavily-armed starships! After years of peace, Jake Sully has settled down with Neytiri and raised a family, so for him, the stakes are even higher than when he first went to war against the corporate might of the RDA.
Avatar: The High Ground Omnibus ventures into all-new territory in the Avatar saga and is a direct prequel to the acclaimed film sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water! Look for Avatar: The High Ground Omnibus when the 264-page (6.625” x 10.1875”) paperback arrives in bookstores and comics on September 30 and October 1, 2025, for $29.99. In The Next Shadow, set immediately after the events of Avatar, Jake navigates his position as both leader of the Omatikaya and former Marine as tensions ramp up between the Na’vi and the humans who remain on Pandora.
In Frontiers of Pandora: So’lek’s Journey, young Na’vi warrior, So’lek, is one of the last survivors of his clan, searching for his place on Pandora and struggling with the nightmares of war.
Finally, set years before the events of Avatar, in Adapt or Die, Dr. Grace Augustine wants to build a bridge between the occupying humans and the Na’vi, but her plans hit a wall as a mysterious illness among Na’vi and avatars is blamed on the humans.
