Forever Skies Releases on Monday, April 14 on Steam and PlayStation 5
Far From Home is proud to announce that after an exciting 21 months of development in Early Access, Forever Skies 1.0 is officially launching on PC and PlayStation®5 (PS5®) on April 14, 2025.
The release date news was announced on the PlayStation Blog alongside that pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition on PS5® are now live. It gives PlayStation players the chance to purchase the game to gain a collection of cosmetic airship decoration items and play the game 72 hours early from April 11.

Forever Skies invites players to return to a post-apocalyptic Earth, where they must scavenge the ruins of a toxic world while piloting and upgrading their own customisable high-tech airship. As they explore the remnants of humanity, players will need to uncover the planet’s secrets, craft vital tools, and adapt to the harsh environment in a desperate fight for survival. The game can be played solo or in co-op for up to 4 players.
The full 1.0 launch includes all features that have been added to the game since Early Access, and a raft of brand-new ones, including:
- Biomes: evolving the game’s procedural world with more cohesive environments
- Advanced Airship Building: players will find new designs, upgrades, and cosmetics to customise their airship
- New Locations: adding to the adventure with new location types and places to explore
- … and the final story chapter, where players will be faced with an unprecedented and chilling decision.
