Stellar Blade’s Nier: Automata DLC & Photo Mode Review

Stellar Blade is one of the “phenomenal” games of 2024 (our 5-star review can be found at https://www.impulsegamer.com/stellar-blade-review/) and courtesy of Shift Up, the developers behind this hit game, fans can now experience new costumes and a new photo mode… the new costumes are inspired from Nier: Automata and another fun new feature is that you can tweak the length of Eve’s ponytail but wait, there’s more!

As Stellar Blade was inspired by Nier: Automata, both the directors of these games (Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro) have come together to add Emil’s Shop – Maii Kadowaki (*) into the game, including new items to help bring these worlds together… well almost. It’s a collaboration made in gaming heaven!

Also adding to the experience is the new photo-mode that allows you to take some amazing snapshots of these stunning characters in the Stellar Blade universe, including some amazing camera work to take your photos of Eve to a new level, including sharing them with your friends.

Also, when you camp, you can now pick a specific song from the turntable. The other last feature is improved lip-sync support for French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish for a much more immersive experience.

Definitely worth getting if you’re a Stellar Blade fan and even better if you’re a Nier: Automata fan as well!

(*) Emil’s Shop is a mobile item shop that freely moves around the Wastelands and the Great Desert open areas.

You can unlock** the following NieR:Automata™ collaborative cosmetic items from the shop:

– Four Nanosuits for EVE
– One Face Accessory for EVE
– Three Hairstyles for EVE
– One Cosmetic for the Drone
– One Cosmetic for Adam
– One Cosmetic for Lily

To unlock** these items, see where you can acquire a Stellar Tear as in-game currency for the shop – you should be able to find them throughout the Wasteland and the Great Desert…

Final Thoughts?

The Stellar Blade’s Nier: Automata DLC is a fun addition but just be warned, you need to find the shop before you can join in the fun!
