), almost 5-star review can be found at https://www.impulsegamer.com/astro-bot-review. Needless to say, both critics and fans alike are also enjoying this title and in our household, Astro Bot is a family affair as everyone loves this cute little bot called Astro.
The game is also a celebration of 30-years of PlayStation with some awesome gaming cameos such as Kratos and Crash Bandicoot as our little bot (with friends) travels the stars in order to piece together their broken PS5 mothership. Astro’s main form of travel is his Dual Speeder that looks like a PS5 DualSense controller, however to celebrate this game and 30-years of PlayStation, an Astro Bot Limited edition DualSense Wireless Controller was released as the same time of this title which mirrors the one in the game and just like Astro who is absolutely adorable, so is this controller. Like seriously awesome and when my daughter received the controller, her smile lasted for the entire day which really added to the overall immersion factor as she searched the galaxy for the lost bots.
The controller comes with all the next-gen features of the regular DualSense Controller such as haptic feedback, touch pad and dynamic adaptive triggers that adds the gameplay of those titles which support it… obviously Astro Bot. Connecting it to your PS5 is done via a USB-C cable which plugs into the controller and the PlayStation 5 console which allows you to pair it to your gaming system.
Apart from PS5 use, it is compatible with the PC plus mobile devices using Android or iOS and to fully charge DualSense Wireless Controller Astro Bot Limited Edition, it takes up to 3-hours via USB-C. Additionally it has a microphone (used in Astro Bot) plus a headphone jack.

Compared to the regular PS5 DualSense Controller, the Astro Bot controller is slightly lighter at 275 grams, with the original weighing in at 280 grams. Visually it’s quite distinct as well and has a slightly different build (or sculpt) that channels Astro Bot perfectly. We also love the contours and subtleties such as the additional lines, blue strips and of course the two little Astro Bot eyes. It’s definitely a great upgrade!
Sorry original PS5 DualSense controller… There’s a new sheriff in town!

The DualSense Wireless Controller Astro Bot Limited Edition for the PS5 (and soon to be PS5 Pro) breaks the Astro Bot Fourth Wall and is a worthy successor to the original controller that came with this next-gen console. Not only does it look the part, it also feels good to use and more importantly extremely responsive that will definitely become your go-to controller. One caveat though which is true to the name is that the DualSense Wireless Controller Astro Bot Limited Edition is indeed limited but if you can find it at a reputable retailer, grab it before it’s truly gone!
