GCAP 2024 Schedule and Ticket Sales Now Live

IGEA is excited to announce that the GCAP 2024 schedule and ticket sales are now live.

The video games industry is dynamic, vibrant, and ever-changing. Like many high-tech and creative businesses, 2024 is a challenging year for game creators due to the many external forces impacting and disrupting the sector.

GCAP 2024 is an important games conference to attend, delivering strategies and opportunities for creators and studios to adapt and thrive in these turbulent times.

GCAP 2024 will allow attendees to foster connections with industry professionals to create opportunities for business development. GCAP 2024 will deliver education and upskilling programs across multiple content streams focused on the core disciplines of game development to inspire attendees. With numerous formal and informal networking opportunities, GCAP 2024 will also provide many opportunities to create and grow a sustainable business.

This year we have an excellent line up of talks, and would like to welcome some of our special guest stars who will be keynoting for us:

Rich is the Game Director for The Elder Scrolls Online, the award-winning online RPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe. Rich has worked on the game since its initial release in 2014 and has overseen the many updates and major Chapters (ESO’s major expansions), including the most recent Gold Road Chapter. Prior to his work on The Elder Scrolls Online, Rich worked on other Elder Scrolls such as Oblivion at Bethesda Game Studios.

Karrie Shirou Shao is the lead narrative designer and lead writer on Pacific Drive, a 2024 Top 10 Best Selling & Top 30 Most Wishlisted Upcoming Game on Steam. Her writing was praised as “funny and compelling” by GamesRadar, “exquisite” by ScreenRant, and “heartful” by DreadCentral.

An award-winning independent game designer & director based in Los Angeles & Tokyo.

Teddy co-designed bestselling RPG Hyper Light Drifter, and directed the Peabody-winning videogame + pop music project OFK. Teddy was Formerly Creative Director at Square Enix Montréal, game designer at Disney & Xbox, and game narrative researcher at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Co-founder of interactive artist collective Glitch City.

Tickets will entitle you to the entire GCAP lineup from the 7-9 of October, the GCAP evening social on Tuesday (more to be revealed soon), plus the ability to connect with other attendees via Meet-To-Match. GCAP tickets also ensures access The AGDAs on Wednesday 9 October where you can join us to celebrate the Australian games industry.

IGEA is happy to advise that the Victorian Government, through Creative Victoria is providing 50 free GCAP Assist tickets to facilitate GCAP access for under-represented and/or marginalised communities from across the Australian games industry.  GCAP Assist will also be open to those who may have been affected by industry layoffs in the past year.  More details and the application form can be found here.
