Evolve Xbox One-exclusive Open Beta Now Live

Pre-purchase Evolve on Xbox One to access exclusive content during Open Beta

Experience Evolve’s dynamic Evacuation campaign early on Xbox One 

Sydney, Australia – January 15, 2015 – 2K and Turtle Rock Studios announced today that the Open Beta* test for the much anticipated 4v1 shooter, Evolve™, is now live globally for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The Evolve Xbox One Open Beta runs until Tuesday, January 19 at 3:00 PM AEDT. Evolve is now also available for pre-purchase as a digital download through the Xbox Games Store on the Xbox One console or online. Players who pre-purchase Evolve or the Evolve Digital Deluxe Edition digitally on Xbox One through the Xbox Store during the Xbox One Open Beta receive an exclusive instant unlock of the third Monster and the third tier of Hunters for use during the Open Beta and at launch. 

To pre-purchase Evolve ($99.95) or the Evolve Digital Deluxe Edition ($126.45) through the Xbox Games Store on the Xbox One console or online, players should select “Pre-purchase” to buy and download the game. Players will be charged the full amount upon transaction. Evolve will download, along with any updates issued before the February 10, 2015 release date, so the game is up-to-date and ready to play. Then, when the game is officially released via the Xbox Games Store, timed with local launch availability, players will find Evolve on their Xbox One dashboard in “My Games & Apps.”

Evolve Xbox One Open Beta participants can experience Evolve’s core “Hunt” mode, while unlocking new Monsters and Hunters as they play. New Hunter and Monster characters unlocked in the Xbox One Open Beta will carry over to the final retail and digital versions of the game. Starting on January 18 at 7:00 AM AEDT, Xbox One Open Beta players will gain exclusive access to Evacuation, Evolve’s dynamic campaign that combines the full array of maps and modes into a unique and highly replayable experience. Xbox One Exclusive Pre-Purchase

  • Players who pre-purchase Evolve digitally on Xbox One can pre-load the game now through launch on February 10, 2015;
  • Pre-purchasing Evolve ($99.95) or the Evolve Digital Deluxe Edition ($126.45) through the Xbox Games Store on the Xbox One console or online, players will be charged the full amount upon transaction, and the game and all updates prior to release will download to the player’s Xbox One console automatically;
  • Pre-purchasing Evolve or the Evolve Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox One grants players an exclusive instant unlock of the third Monster (Wraith) and the third tier of Hunters (Parnell, Abe, Caira, Cabot) for use during the Evolve Xbox One Open Beta and at launch;
  • Players who pre-purchase Evolve or the Evolve Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox One will also receive the Monster Expansion Pack free*, which includes Behemoth, the fourth playable Monster, available this spring, and the Savage Goliath Skin at launch.

Evolve will be available February 10, 2015 worldwide for Xbox One, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC. Evolve is rated MA15+ in Australia and R13 in New Zealand.
