JBL Quantum Australia announces partnership with League of Legends team Pentanet.GG

Following a successful 2022 in gaming, today JBL continues to elevate the gaming space by teaming up with Western Australia’s premier esports organisation, Pentanet.GG (PGG).

PGG competes in the League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) and is made up of five players including Ryan ‘Chippys’ Short, Shern ‘SHERNFIRE’ Tai, Donggeun ‘DONGGY’ Kim, Vincent ‘Violet’ Wong and Jian-Jing ‘Apii’ Yao.

In 2021 PGG was the first Oceanic team to make it past the groups stage of the international League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational in Iceland, continuing their success with multiple top three finishes in 2022 splits. In 2023, with the support of JBL Quantum, they are looking to represent Australia on the global stage once again.

“I am so excited for what PentanetGG can accomplish with JBL Quantum! After seeing first-hand the incredible things they are bringing to the gaming and content space, I have no doubt that our partnership into 2023 for the LCO season and beyond is going to be amazing.” said Josh Hazell, Partnerships and Talent Coordinator.

As the official gaming headset partner of PGG, the new JBL Quantum 910 headsets will be worn by the team and featured in esports content. Each headset features JBL QuantumSOUND Signature for pinpoint accurate audio to give the team a key advantage in every game.

An esports organisation with a difference, PGG is committed to developing the esports scene in WA and creating career pathways for local talent. They are also putting the spotlight on the endangered and vulnerable native species of WA by making them the focus of their 2023 team jerseys and fundraising. The wildlife conservation focus is shared by JBL and provides another great reason for the partnership.

“The PGG team values, involvement in grassroot activations and their support for conservation and their local esports scene make them the perfect addition to our ever expanding JBL Quantum Squad.” said Ashleigh Kingston, JBL Marketing Manager. “We are excited to see what the 2023 LCO season holds for Pentanet.GG and look forward to supporting them on their journey towards representing Australia on a global competitive stage.”

With Split 1 of the LCO already underway, PGG have started strong with wins already under their belt. It’s set to be an exciting season as Pentanet.GG and JBL Quantum look to make their mark on the Oceanic gaming scene.
