MELBOURNE MUSEUM, IMMIGRATION MUSEUM, SCIENCEWORKS AND IMAX TO REOPEN THIS WEEKEND

Museums Victoria CEO and Director Lynley Crosswell is thrilled to welcome visitors back.

“We are incredibly excited to be opening the doors to our museums and sharing in the joy that Victorians are experiencing right now.

Museums Victoria is proud to be a part of our state’s thriving cultural scene, and we are delighted to be once again welcoming visitors back to our wonderful museums to immerse themselves in our exhibitions and collections.”

In the coming months, visitors of all ages can enjoy their favourite museum galleries as well as brand new exhibitions. For the latest details about everything on offer, keep an eye on the Museums Victoria website and social media platforms.

Tickets for Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and Immigration Museum will be available from 10am tomorrow, Tuesday 26 October. All visitors over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated,  or have a medical exemption, and  will be required to  show their COVID-19  vaccination status or medical exemption as a condition of entry.

A wide range of health and safety measures will be in place to help protect the safety of staff and visitors. Visitors can show their vaccination status with a COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Service Victoria app, Medicare app, or equivalent smartphone wallet. They can also present a printed version of their certificate or immunisation history statement, or provide evidence of a medical exemption. With restricted visitor numbers in place, bookings are essential.

For those who are unable to visit just yet, Museum at Home on the Museums Victoria website continues to share the wonder and inspiration of our museums and collections far beyond our walls with virtual experiences.
