Mandolicious!
“Come on baby.
Do the magic hand thing.”
– Greef Karga
The highly anticipated volume two of the Star Wars The Mandalorian The Art & Imagery Collector’s Edition is here and wow, it’s another jam packed 100-pages of Mando goodness from start to finish. Again, it’s another celebration of the amazing artwork behind this series, including photos chapter 5 to 8 of The Mandalorian. If I could sum up the book in one word, it would be Mandolicious!
Like volume one, Star Wars The Mandalorian The Art & Imagery Collector’s Edition Volume Two is broken into several themes that include;
- The Mandalorian & The Child
- Lawless Worlds
- Starships
- Enemies and Allies
- Droids
- Battles on the Ground
- The Last of the Empire
Each theme is also a celebration of a certain element from season one of The Mandalorian which really makes this book such a joy to read… well, view!
Although there is no text per se, the artists from Lucasfilm are credited, including a handful of quotes from chapters 5 to 8 of season one of The Mandalorian.
However the highlight of this hardcover is the amazing artwork behind the series, particularly the painted images and while there are different styles used such as comic art or retro inspired posters, these alternate styles help spice up the excellent art showcased in this book.
