Concert for Max - Benefit Concert for Max Merritt
(3 Disc Set)

On the 21st of October 2007, one of Australia's most varied and diverse benefit concerts was organized for Max Merritt, a leading founder of Rock and Roll in Australia during the 1970's.

After being admitted to hospital in the US for kidney failure, Max had reached the bottom of not only his career but also his life. Fortunately for Max, the impression he made on the musical community and society led a group of his friends and acquaintances to get together in order to organise a benefit concert for our fallen musician.

Held at the Palais Theatre in St. Kilda Victoria Australia, this packed out benefit concert featured some of Australia's best that included James Reyne, Daryl Braitwaite, Vanessa Amorosi and even the Delltones to name a few of the stars.

With over 25 Australian recording artists, over 50 musicians and more than 70 crew, this concert extravaganza is the perfect compendium for lovers of classic Australian rock and best of all, with a running time of 186 minutes, the DVD is worth every penny and is true music to the ears.

The DVD contains good video quality, however where it really excels is with the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound which almost makes it like you are part of this historic concert.

A Brilliant DVD compednium!
